Audio normalisation
i've noticed with PlayIt Live the audio can be all over the place if the audio files are taken from different sources etc so volume levels can vary which means juggling with the trim controls to get the levels to match. I would like to see some form of audio normalisation incorporated so each file played peaks at the same level on the VU at the loudest parts of the tracks.

I have resolved that problem, as Tracks are added they are all saved at Neg 3db and all play at the same volume - Ids are at neg 1.5db, seems to work. (just an idea )

Hi Matty. I've used MP3gain & even audacity in the past to set the levels of my files to peak at about 89db and as you say, idents or in a radio environment the ads can be set just a little higher. It does seem a bit of a faff to do this in an external program & I still think it would be better if the files were set to a predetermined dB when imported into the database or it used a software based compressor when playing out from the individual players.
