Yes, PlayIt Live supports Arduino boards through the External Devices feature, which requires the Remote Management Module. You can connect Arduino boards via USB or RS-232 serial ports to control external hardware (like On Air lights, relay controllers) or receive input from physical buttons and switches.
To use Arduino with PlayIt Live, you'll configure it as a Serial Port hardware device in Tools > External Devices. Once connected, you can create Named Outputs to send commands to your Arduino (for example, to turn lights on/off) and Named Inputs to receive commands from Arduino (such as physical button presses). These can be triggered automatically using Scheduled Event Actions in your clocks or scheduled events.
The External Devices feature is an advanced feature designed for broadcast engineers and technical staff familiar with serial communications and microcontroller programming. You'll need to program your Arduino to respond to the serial commands you configure in PlayIt Live.
PlayIt Software is based in the heart of Cambridge, England, United Kingdom.
