Why does PlayIt Live allow more than an hour of content to be scheduled?

PlayIt Live intentionally allows you to schedule more than 60 minutes of content within an hour because there are legitimate reasons why an hour might overrun. For example, during live shows or when accommodating longer songs that provide better flow for your broadcast.

To prevent overruns from carrying into the next hour without abruptly cutting off content, place a Soft Fixed Time Marker at 00:00 in each hour's clock. Items scheduled past this marker will be dropped whilst allowing the currently playing track to finish naturally.

To add a Soft Fixed Time Marker:

1. Go to Manage > Clocks
2. Select your clock
3. Add a Fixed Time Marker at 00:00
4. Set the type to Soft
5. Save the clock

Soft vs Hard Fixed Time Markers:

• Soft: Drops future items but allows current track to finish
• Hard: Cuts off any playing track exactly at the specified time

Choose the marker type based on whether you prefer natural track endings or precise timing.
