If you were previously able to connect to PlayIt Live's remote features (Remote Management, Remote Voice Tracking, or Remote Studio) but now cannot access them through your web browser, this typically indicates a network connectivity issue rather than a problem with PlayIt Live itself.
First, verify you are using the HTTPS URL that starts with https:// and ends with .playitradio.com. Due to browser security restrictions, HTTPS is required for remote connections to work properly.
Check for duplicate hostname usage - Make sure there is only one instance of PlayIt Live using that hostname. If another instance was set up on another computer with a copy of your database and settings, it could be using the same hostname and flip-flopping between different IP addresses. With this scenario you would experience remote access features working for some time and then stopping and then coming back.
Check your network connection by pinging your remote URL from a command prompt. Open Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac) and type ping yourdomain.playitradio.com (replace with your actual subdomain). This will show if your computer can reach the PlayIt Live server and display the IP address.
Verify your IP address matches by comparing the IP address shown in the ping results with your actual external IP address. Visit https://api.ipify.org/ on the same machine running PlayIt Live to see your current external IP. If these addresses don't match, check that you haven't set an overridden IP address under File > Enable Remote Connections > Advanced in PlayIt Live.
If the IP addresses match but you still can't connect, the issue is likely with your firewall or port forwarding settings. Follow the steps under Help me set up external access in PlayIt Live:
