Add emitting of midi event messages to Remote Start plugin
as the engineer for a live sporting event commentary program, I want to get midi messages from PlayIt Live into my automation tool of choice when audio jingles have finished playing: detail: I have the Remote Start plugin for PlayIt Live. I am successful in being able to cause PlayIt Live to commence playing the next & subsequent (depending on segue setting) audio. great! but, I don't know when the playing of the audio clip(s) has finished. If a midi message could be configured to be sent to a midi target upon completion of an event, then other software could react accordingly. here is what I'm doing: I'm using 'surface editor' (www.surface-editor.net) to create nice 'buttons' on-screen, which, when activated, emit midi messages to PlayIt Live and a Behringer XR18 mixer (using OSC commands) to alter the XR18 (mute audio from commentators) when jingles start playing. but, it has no idea currently as to when the sequence of jingles has completed playing, to then unmute the mics on the XR18. I would like PlayIt Live to emit midi messages so that I can set up the surface editor to monitor for incoming midi advice that the jingles are done playing, so that I can then cause messages be sent to the mixer open the mics up. how about it? this would allow me to 'close the loop' and do some automation upon completion of jingle playback (eg: re-open the mics for the commentators on the XR18). thanks for all the good work!
