PlayIt Live

How do I export logged tracks for reconciliation?

PlayIt Live can automatically export logged tracks to CSV files for reconciliation purposes using the Auto Export feature, which creates daily or hourly files with a standardised format.

Setting up Auto Export:

Go to Manage > Logged Tracks > Auto Export and choose a folder to save the logged tracks. This will automatically generate CSV files as tracks are played.

File naming pattern:

The exported files are automatically named using these formats:

  • YYYY-MM-DD.csv for daily logs (e.g., 2024-03-15.csv)
  • YYYY-MM-DD_HH.csv for hourly logs (e.g., 2024-03-15_14.csv for 2 PM)

Required fields for reconciliation:

When configuring the Auto Export, ensure you select these essential fields:

  • Played Time - When the track was broadcast
  • Track ID - Unique identifier for the track
  • Reconciliation ID - Specific identifier for reconciliation purposes

PlayIt Playout Log (PIPL) format compatibility:

Logs imported through PlayIt Playout Log (PIPL) format that contain a reconciliation ID will be exported with the same ID preserved for reconciliation purposes.

CSV format details:

The first row contains column headers identifying each field. Values containing commas or quotes are properly escaped and wrapped in double quotes following standard CSV conventions.
