The Auto Adjust feature automatically adjusts tempos and segues to fit your content to the next fixed time marker or end of hour. Here's how to run it manually:
Accessing Auto Adjust:
- Go to Tools > Auto Adjust from the main menu in PlayIt Live
- The Auto Adjust window will open showing a preview of what changes will be made
Understanding the preview:
- The preview shows exactly what Auto Adjust will do when applied
- Click the Refresh icon to update the preview if you've made changes to your playout log
- If there aren't enough items scheduled, you'll be prompted to schedule more items from your playout pattern
Running Auto Adjust:
- Review the preview to see the proposed changes
- Click the Apply button to implement the adjustments
- Auto Adjust will make the following changes:
- Adjust tempos of tracks (Type: "Song" only) up to your maximum tempo setting
- Modify segues up to your maximum segue setting
- Soft delete items that would play after the target time
Important notes:
- Requires Advanced Scheduling module for full functionality
- Only affects tracks with Type "Song" - other types are ignored
- Auto Adjust won't modify items that have already started playing
- Custom volume envelopes set manually may be destroyed when Auto Adjust is applied
- Use Revert button to undo the most recent Auto Adjust changes (except soft-deleted items)
Target calculation:
Auto Adjust works towards the next fixed time marker in your log, or the end of the current hour - whichever comes first.
This feature is particularly useful for ensuring your programming fits perfectly within your scheduled time slots.
