Why are deleted tracks reimported from monitored folders?

This is expected behaviour when you have monitored folders set up. When you delete tracks from the PlayIt Live database, the actual audio file remains on your hard drive. The monitored folder then scans, finds that the audio file still exists, and reimports it as if it were a new track.

Monitored folders are designed to contain all the tracks you wish to import into the software. If you don't wish for tracks to be reimported after deletion, you should use the standard Add New Tracks functionality instead (Manage > Tracks > Add New). This will import the tracks once, and you can then delete them from the database without them being reimported.

PlayIt Live, by design, does not modify, delete or move the original files you import. It simply creates a reference to them and points to that location. This is why the file remains on your hard drive after deleting it from the database, and why monitored folders will find and reimport it during their next scan.
