Automatic gain control, graphic equalizer, compressor and expander, VU meter.

Hi Jason Will it please be possible to add the following 4 features to the PlayIt Live software in the future? a) A graphic equalizer to improve the sound of your computer; b) Automatic gain control (AGC). Its purpose is basically to adjust the gain to an appropriate level based on the input signal level. c) A compressor and expander. A compressor or limiter attenuates or limits signals exceeding a pre-defined signal level. An expander leaves louder signals (that is above the threshold) untouched while simply turning down softer signals when it goes below the threshold (instead of completely turning it off like a gate); d) A VU meter to indicate the average sound levels. Any thoughts on this i think it would be a good idea.

I wonder about the value of d as there isn't any adjustment for volume (or more correctly gain). An implementation of replay gain adjustment has merit.

Jason. Does the audio processing work for someone like me who uses PlayIT Live to record my programmes onto a different computer (using Audacity sound recorder/editor) or is it just for live performances?
