If you want to do digital soundprocessing on your computer I suggest to take a look at 'stereotool' - www.stereotool.com. I'm running this in combination with playit and it sounds great, although you might need some extra hardware for everything

I second the recommendation for Stereo Tool. It's great, there's a free version, and it frees PlayIt Live from unnecessary clutter, so it can work unencumbered.
