Merge live assist mode and deck mode and a couple other things
Live assist mode and decks mode could very well be merged. with the option to controll players individually or use just one player in automation mode. In live assist mode I have 4 players for which I can select individual outputs but I cannot control them individually trough keyboard or PGIO as they are meant to be played in sequence. This to me is useless. When automation is running it can go out trough one output to air but when in live assist it is nice to have control over individual players assigned to individual faders. Transisioning from live assist to decks mode is not great as it stops audio playing in automation. My suggestion: Make the 4 players (maybe more depending on the settings) in live assist mode individually controlable with assignable outputs when automation is off and get rid of the decks mode. When automation is on the ability to select a seperate output would be nice because that could be used as a studioswitch and route audio around the mixer directly to air so a large part of the equipment can be turned off when not in use for live broadcasts. Tracks can still load in sequence to the players following the log when in live assist as this doesn't really matter (Omniplayer and Aeron work similar). Add a keyboard/GPIO shortcut to toggle automation on/off. Helps to tie the software into a mixer's on air button. Only remove a track from a player if the track has played and is currently stopped and the next track is playing or when a next track is qued by hand in a player. Add the remaining time to next fixed item and the track remaining/intro time to the big clock.
