PlayIt Live connects to Live365 using the built-in Internet Broadcast feature, and will send now-playing track information to your listeners when title streaming is enabled. Live365 uses the Icecast2 protocol for its LiveDJ encoder input.
Find your Live365 streaming details
Log in to your Live365 Dashboard and select Streaming from the left column Station Menu. Locate the LiveDJ area, which contains the Hostname, Port, Mount, Username (typically source) and Password you will need. The copy icon next to each field makes it easy to copy the values across.
Add the stream in PlayIt Live
Go to Tools > Internet Broadcast and click Add Stream. On the Edit Stream window, enter a Name for the stream, then fill in the Server details using the values from the LiveDJ area:
Under Audio details, set the Format and Quality to match the bitrate allowed by your Live365 plan.
Enable metadata streaming
Tick Enable title streaming on the same window so the artist and title of each track are sent to Live365 as they play. The Now Playing feature is configured by default to send to all connected Internet Broadcast streams, so no further setup is normally required. If this has been changed previously, go to Tools > Now Playing and ensure an Internet Broadcast target is set to Send to all connected Internet Broadcast streams.
Click OK to save, then right-click the stream in the list and choose Start, or use Start All Streams, to go live. You can verify the connection by checking the stream status in your Live365 dashboard.
