How do I transfer my plugin to another computer?

When you purchase a PlayIt Software plugin, it's initially tied to your specific computer's machine name. If you need to move to a new computer, reset your PC, or replace your machine, you can transfer your plugin licence without repurchasing it.

Transferring Your Plugin

Visit https://www.playitsoftware.com/Account/Plugins and log in with your PlayIt Software account. You'll see a list of all plugins you've purchased. Next to each plugin, you'll find a transfer icon. Click this icon, then select your new computer name from the list. Your transfer request will be sent to us for approval. Once approved, you can download the plugin for use on your new computer.

Installing on Your New Computer

After your transfer has been approved, install PlayIt Live on your new computer if you haven't already. Log in with the same PlayIt Software account you used to purchase the plugin. Then go to File > Plugins in PlayIt Live and download your plugin again through the Plugin Gallery. Since you've transferred the licence, it will activate automatically on your new machine without any additional cost.

Important Notes

Plugin transfers are designed for situations where you have permanently changed computers or your previous computer is no longer available. If you still have access to your old computer, make sure to transfer the licence before disposing of it or reformatting. If you've already lost access to your old machine, you can still request a transfer using the website.

If you have multiple users who need to use the plugin, or if you want to use it regularly across multiple computers, you'll need to purchase additional plugin licences for each machine rather than repeatedly transferring between them.
