PlayIt Live

How to Troubleshoot Common Audio Issues in PlayIt Live

No Sound from Players If tracks appear to be playing but you hear no audio, check your audio device assignments. Go to File > Settings > Live-Assist and verify each player is assigned to the correct audio device (sound card). Players may be routed to a sound card or virtual device you're not monitoring. If using multiple outputs for mixer channels, confirm your hardware is properly connected and routed.

Playback Stops After One Track Check the segue toggle switch between tracks in the playout log. If it shows a red stop sign, playout will pause after the current track. Click the red stop sign to switch it to a green arrow for continuous playout.

Audio Skips, Glitches or Freezing This typically indicates insufficient system resources. PlayIt Live requires dedicated processing power for real-time audio. Check your system meets minimum specifications at https://www.playitsoftware.com/Products/Live/Specs. Use Help > Spec Check to verify your CPU and memory compatibility. Consider increasing the playback buffer length in Settings > Advanced (requires restart).

Wrong Audio Device Selection Ensure the correct audio device is selected in settings. Track editor audio device controls playback in the track editor and Pre-Fade Listen window. Different sections (players, QuickCarts, track editor) can use different audio devices if needed.
