Why do my hours keep going long?

If your hours are continuously overrunning, you should use Fixed Time Markers to keep your playout log on schedule. Fixed Time Markers act as anchor points that ensure content starts at specific times, preventing earlier tracks from pushing your schedule off course.

To add a Fixed Time Marker, go to Manage > Clocks and edit the clock you want to control. Click Add to add a new clock item, set the Type to Fixed Time Marker, and configure the time (such as 00:00 for the top of the hour).

Hard markers will cause any playing content to immediately fade out and stop at the specified time, ensuring the next item starts precisely on schedule.

Soft markers allow the current track to finish playing before advancing to the next item after the specified time. This prevents tracks being cut off but may result in slight overruns.
