What internet streaming features are available in PlayIt Live?

PlayIt Live includes built-in internet streaming with support for Icecast, SHOUTcast v1, and SHOUTcast v2 servers. The built-in encoder streams in MP3 format with configurable bitrate and sampling rate settings.

If you need to stream in AAC+ or OGG format, you can use an external encoder such as Rocket Broadcaster Pro alongside PlayIt Live. The external encoder would receive audio from PlayIt Live's output and handle the encoding to your streaming server.

PlayIt Live automatically sends Now Playing metadata to your stream, including track title, artist, and programme information. This is configured through the Now Playing feature which works with internet broadcast streams by default.

The built-in streaming includes automatic reconnect functionality. If your connection to the streaming server drops, PlayIt Live will automatically attempt to reconnect without manual intervention.

You can run multiple concurrent streams simultaneously by configuring multiple encoder connections in Tools > Internet Broadcast. This allows you to stream to different servers or provide multiple bitrates to suit different listener requirements. Each stream can have different server configurations and quality settings.

To configure streaming, go to Tools > Internet Broadcast and add your encoder details including server type, address, port, username, password, and mount point as provided by your streaming provider.
