Ability to Query On-Air / Off-Air Stream Status via the PlayIt Live Control API
Hello PlayIt Live Team, I would like to request an enhancement to the PlayIt Live Control API: the ability to query the current On-Air or Off-Air status of streams. Why this feature is important I am developing custom software that serves as a status monitor and information hub for radio stations. To provide accurate real-time insights, the application needs to know whether a stream is currently On Air or Off Air. At the moment, the Control API does not expose this information, which limits the ability to build reliable monitoring and automation tools around PlayIt Live. Suggested addition - An API endpoint or command that returns the On-Air/Off-Air state of each configured stream. - Ideally, this would include: - Stream identifier - Current status (On Air / Off Air) - Optional: timestamp of last status change Benefits - Enables external monitoring dashboards - Supports automated workflows and alerting systems - Improves integration possibilities for professional broadcast environments This addition would significantly enhance the flexibility of the Control API and support developers building tools around PlayIt Live. Thank you for considering this request.
