Play Count-Based Selection Strategy for New Music Categories
It would be extremely helpful to introduce an option for a play count-based selection strategy (prioritizing the least-played tracks) for Track Group items within clocks.
Why this is useful:
This selection method is specifically ideal for categories containing new, contemporary music. When a new track is added to a category, it naturally starts with a play count of zero.
Initial Phase: Newly added tracks will be selected with a higher priority to ensure fresh music gets adequate airplay in the beginning, while still strictly respecting the defined separation rules (e.g., 1 or 2 hours).
Balanced Rotation: As the track accumulates plays and its count catches up with the rest of the titles in the category, it smoothly and naturally transitions into a normal, balanced rotation.
This mechanism prevents new music from sitting underused without over-saturating the airwaves. Similar logic is standard and successfully implemented in other radio software, and it would be a fantastic, practical addition for music scheduling in PlayIt Live.
