I voted on this item simply because Linux is a tried and tested stable platform. A true workhorse Ideal for automation ..it just works. Rivendell is known for one of the few Automation Applications to run on Linux and has reported uptimes of nearly 36 months, but requires a steep learning curve and not as features rich as PIL.
