volume levelling
I want to use the software for social gatherings (when we can) and I have an enormous digital music collection on a 3TB NAS. Some tracks are quite low volume level compared to others (i.e. some of the older music). My brother also uses the software for his local community radio and he encounters the same problem.

Available from PlayIt Live 2.10. Tools > Loudness Analysis works through your library in the background and stores a gain offset against each track, so quieter older recordings play at the same level as everything else. This is built in and needs no extra plugin.
