It would be good to get data from the PIL db to a web site or to be able control PIL. JSON is probably the easiest and best way.

Priority streams: adjustable buffer size

A buffer size/time setting in order to handle connections with latency and/or that are unstable.

Priority streams: max retries

News settings: "max retries before giving up accepting the stream”, that would help cutting the stream off before the listeners give up on the whole thing. o Maybe a “I’ll let you try again in X minutes” feature as well.

Priority streams: logging for streaming problems

A log of stable/unstable stream events would be very useful. “6:20PM Stream has entered the unstable state. 6:25 Stream has entered the stable state again. During the unstable phase, 4711 lost packets were recorded, 150 stutters etc.”.

Make sure that ADs can be show with proper names in the Shoutcast stream. e.g. "Advert - Buy Toyota cars".

Default the track info in Remote Mgmt should show the comment field for the mp3 with more than ONE line visible.

Add "Gain" to variables that "Now playing" can send.

Add {{gain}} to the variables that can be used in "Now playing". It would be good to have statistics about the normalization.

Powershell integration

Microsoft recommends powershell for all kind of administration and it would give PIL a uniform control interface that could leverage multiinstance control.

Multistreaming to different Shoutcast/Icecast sites

Look at Rocket Broadcaster for inspiration. Also nice to have different "broadcast groups".
