I still do the occasional disco … Your Decks Mode on a Dark Theme is brilliant for this! ... I have used it back in 2017 for a 3 day internet station & it was very good. If I ever do another similar station then I would definitely use PlayIt Live. Compared to another system I used many years ago, I found it easy to understand & set up, & reliable. Obviously the free download is much appreciated, & I recall making a donation or purchasing a plugin at some time in the past... I will definitely do the same again!

It is great as a live assist programming system feeding into a console for live shows. We love the Quick Carts, and Cart Wall for live operation. The Local voice tracking option with segue editor is excellent for preparing shows in advance. The Remote Management option is powerful and works well. We like that we can sync up multiple machines in different studios. Advanced Scheduling is also quite helpful. Priority Stream is used every day to bring in remote studios around the world. We make good use of Monitored Folders, Play It Recorder and the Now Playing plug in. The Clocks and Clock Schedule are powerful and easy to use. The ability to save playlists and text logs is used constantly. Importing V.T shows for replay is fast and easy. The system is trustworthy and the learning curve is shallow. It is an excellent product for radio operations, even very sophisticated ones.

PIL is one of the few radio software packages that is either free or low cost... I like that I can schedule music hour-by-hour because during a wedding ceremony or reception, there are certain songs that have to play at certain times. I also like being able to backtime to the end of a reception to make sure my last song of the night plays on time. I like the new feature to "soft delete" songs to test out how different combinations of songs might affect the overall timing, without actually deleting them and having to manually bring them back into the log if I change my mind. So many other things I really like.

Very easy to set up even for people with no prior knowledge of playout systems. New presenters can be up and running within a few minutes of training. I love this program! It is the only free program that has helped me! Even a beginner can use it! I like how customizable it is. I can change the program theme (dark and white). It has plenty of settings, like how many decks I want, the output of the quick carts player, etc.! It even has an automation mode, so I can leave the studio and the music will continue playing... Fixed times makers have also helped me, when I want to start a broadcast at a specific time and I put these and they stop the music at that time automatically! It is so nice! Also, the free plugin for streaming that sends the metadata to the server – so practical! Finally, the track list! I use it on my live broadcasts to drag and drop tracks!

I like the flexibility and ease you get with the clocking system; it's so easy to make up a good mixed playlist, and the time markers are very important to help with a TOTH. I also find the monitored folders a massive time saver; I can just FTP new songs across to the system and PlayIt does the rest for me. There are so many I could list. It's very nicely laid out, has a very light footprint on the PC and doesn't hog power, and its analysis of music you import is very good, very quick, and makes the songs crossover very seamless.
